Before I go into what has happened to us and why we are here in London serving with others on the Strawberry Vale Estate, I want to say a few words about our work here to help you understand our decisions made over the last few years…
Today, as I write another devotion, the verse Romans 14:1 was the one which jumped out at me. “Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarrelling over disputable matters.”
I grew immensely in my Christian walk and faith whilst at Faith Baptist Church in Suffolk under the ever watchful eyes of Pastor Frank Thompson and His wife Marje. These were some of the best and sometimes toughest years because it was my growing in Christ as He showed me my shortcomings and allowed the people around me to help me trough them. We wanted people to be able to grown in faith and knowledge just as we were there… but some people seemed to object to it!
Well, that was my preparation for working in tougher fields and through tougher times. It is not really up to us to show people what they are doing wrong or how they are falling short of God’s law. It is our position to encourage people to come and find out from God themselves. We need every little bit of help to draw people closer to God because we are fighting and enemy who is very clever and uses our own shortcomings against us!
Don’t be afraid to reach down into the barrel of fruit and pick out the ones which look ripe… if they are left too long they may start rotting and destroy the whole barrel before long. Christ will give us strength and will give us direction so long as we are willing to listen and bring people to Him.
We felt these is a great need for people who are brave enough to get into the barrel and help with the harvest from the inside; we know God is on our side and helping us every step of the way because we trust in Him and listen to Him constantly. We can see the fruit much better for being in the barrel. We covert your prayers and support. X
